I remember the mix of excitement and sheer anxiety that rushed through my body as I hovered over the Join Group button for the first time. My heart was pounding. “OMG, we’re really going to do this… wait—OMG, we ARE doing this?!”Click. There was no turning back.
Then came the wait.It was only about 24 hours, but it felt like forever. The suspense, the second-guessing, the curiosity—it all swirled together. What if we were totally out of place? What if no one welcomed us? But once we were in... everything changed.
I started scrolling through the group feed, reading every post like my life depended on it. I wanted to learn everything: how people interacted, what the vibe was, what the unspoken rules were. One thing I quickly noticed—there were a lot of introductory posts from couples and singles. It seemed like the natural next step.
So, with shaky fingers and probably a bit of cheesiness, I hit send on our own:"Hey, we’re new here... help a girl out!"And help? Oh, they delivered.
The comments started flooding in—encouraging words, helpful tips, heartfelt advice. With each message, my anxiety faded. I wasn’t alone. These were real people, living this lifestyle with confidence, openness, and kindness. They weren’t weird or tacky or sleazy like I half-feared.They were… normal. And honestly? That was the most refreshing surprise of all.
A few women reached out asking if they could DM me. I agreed, a little nervous but intrigued. What followed were some of the most beautiful, engaging conversations I’d had in a long time. We talked about the lifestyle, yes—but also about ourselves, our relationships, our hopes, and our boundaries. Real, meaningful connections were forming.
And just like that, we began building our community.
This was no longer just a fantasy or a curiosity. It was real. It was unfolding. And it was filled with more connection, support, and genuine humanity than I ever expected.
